Felix grew up in the Alps in Germany. He fell in love with visual storytelling and moved to England to study Cinematography at the National Film & Television School under
the mentorship of Brian Tufano BSC ('Trainspotting', 'Billy Elliot'). Since his graduation Felix has been working as a Cinematographer on feature films, TV drama and commercials.
After shooting the feature films ANUVAHOOD and SKET, Felix photographed Season 3 of the TV Drama MISFITS, which was nominated for a BAFTA for Best TV Drama Series 2012. The BBC TV film MY MURDER (Dir. Bruce Goodison) starring John Boyega won 'Best Single TV Drama' at the Broadcast Awards 2013 and was nominated for 'Best Single Drama' at the RTS Awards. Felix shot the award winning feature films WE ARE THE FREAKS (Dir. Justin Edgar) and LEAVE TO REMAIN (Dir. Bruce Goodison). He photographed seven Episodes of the period drama MR SELFRIDGE 2 and the Netflix Mini-Series RESIDUE (Dir. Alex Garcia-Lopez).
Felix received a Nomination for the 'BSC Award for Best Cinematography in a TV Drama' for the cold war spy thriller LEGACY (Dir. Pete Travis), a feature length TV film for BBC in 2014.
Following his second nomination Felix won the 'BSC Award for Best Cinematography in a TV Drama' in 2016 for the TV Film 'THE GO-BETWEEN' (Dir. Pete Travis), which also has been nominated for a BAFTA for 'Best Single Drama' in 2016.
Recently Felix has worked on a variety of feature films. He photographed AWAY (Dir. David Blair), a film about an unlikely friendship starring Timothy Spall and Juno Temple. Felix shot neo-noir thriller CITY OF TINY LIGHTS (Dir. Pete Travis), with Riz Ahmed in the lead role, followed by action thriller STRATTON (Dir. Simon West) and harrowing psychological drama ROMANS (Dir. The Shammasian Brothers).
Felix recently photographed the feature film HAMPSTEAD (Dir. Joel Hopkins), a drama set in London starring Diane Keaton and Brendan Gleeson.
